DVWA becomes its own Distro
by Webantix on Mar.26, 2010
After a few months of hard work and a large number of emails between Ryan Dewhurst(@ethicalhack3r) and myself we have managed to create a LiveCD distribution of Damn Vulnerable Web App.
The distribution is based on Ubuntu LTS 8.0.4 and has Apache, SSL, MySQL and PHP installed with the DVWA files installed and setup.
If you want to have a dig around the system user name and password are dvwa and password.
Currently we have released it as a torrent available from
http://www.dvwa.co.uk/download/DVWA-1.0.6.iso.torrent
Ryan is also adding some great new editions for the next release which will be rolled into a new version of the distribution.
If you have any ideas or issues with DVWA or DVWA LiveCD please drop a comment or join the forum over at dvwa.co.uk.

Can’t get to the torrent or the iso. The links above go right to the SourceForge site. Am I missing something?
Thanks,
Ed

Hi Ed,
Looks like the iso keeps on draining all our bandwidth. We are trying to sort out a new place to host the iso so you guys will be able to download it.
Any who wants to know when this is available please leave a comment and I will contact you as soon as this is sorted.
Cheers
Duncan

Maybe it would be a better idea to combine your project with web security dojo? It would seam they are doing a similar thing, integrating dvwa into its own distro and have done quite well.
